## Where Is Shimen Coral Shell Temple?
This stop in Showway's local travel notes brings us to Coral Shell Temple at No. 99, Kanzijiao Road, Fuji Village, Shimen District, New Taipei City. It is a memorable North Coast destination known for its coral, shells, dragon sculptures and ocean-inspired temple details.
The temple is especially worth visiting if you are planning a Shimen day trip, a North Coast route, or a stop near Fuji Fishing Harbor. From the exterior dragon sculptures to the shell-covered interior passages, the site carries a strong local identity.
## What Makes It Special
The temple combines traditional religious space with ocean-themed craftsmanship. The walls, columns, ceilings, altars and corridors are decorated with coral, shells, fish patterns and sculptural details, creating an atmosphere similar to walking through an underwater grotto.
## Showway's Note
For me, local exploration is also a way to record how places, communities and lifestyle areas connect. Shimen and the North Coast have a rhythm very different from central Taipei, and Coral Shell Temple is one of those places where local faith, coastal scenery and visual memory come together.
